About Us
EYEBALL began about eight years ago. Honestly, I’m not sure exactly where the “eye-deeyah” came from, but I remember sitting at my computer in Florida, watching my son, Sam, play basketball.
As a former collegiate player, I knew what it meant to love the game. But I had never met anyone who loved to ball as much as Sam. Watching him, I began to wonder: Why do we play? What makes the game so important to us?
That thought became “EYEBALL, for the love of the game,” and the original EYEBALL logo you see on our homepage was born. Still, I wasn’t ready to launch. The purpose wasn’t quite clear yet.
That changed when Sam began playing at a small private college in Michigan. He was excited to play, but the opportunities he had been promised didn’t unfold as he had hoped. I asked him, “Why do you ball?”
His answer brought the vision into focus: “I ball because I love the game, and I’m excited to play for a school where I don’t have to be quiet about my faith.”
EYEBALL is more than a brand. It’s a visible expression of what Christ can do for us and how we can honor Him through the sports we play.
